8 things that cause constant fatigue

In the morning when you wake up you snooze your alarm clock many times, hardly manage to get ready without a morning coffee and feel very low energy to get to work and rather go back to bed again. Does this sound familiar to you? Your daily routine? So you should do something about it. There are plenty of reasons why you could feel a lack of energy for days. Can you find among the following eight problems the one that plagues you?

1. Lack of sleep

It may seem self-evident, but many people are constantly underestimating the important need to have some proper rest to regenerate their body and mind. Lack of sleep can negatively affect your concentration and health! Adults should sleep about six to eight hours each night.

Solution: Try to go to bed at the same hour every day and follow this routine. Bring notebooks, cell phones and other distracting objects out of your bedroom. Still having trouble? Seek medical advice. You may have a more severe sleep disorder.

2. Sleep apnea

Some people think they sleep long enough, but they are still tired during the day. Unfortunately, sleep apnea could be in their way. It is a condition where breathing stops briefly during the night. Every break will wake you up for a moment and you may not even know about it.

Solution: Are you overweight? Try to adjust your diet and get rid of excess kilograms. Stop smoking and reduce alcohol! The CPAP device, which keeps the airways open while sleeping, can also help.

3. Inappropriate eating 

Physical fatigue from food? Yes, this can be caused by combining food improperly, overeating and/or consuming heavy foods. The body for digesting such a diet requires a huge amount of energy.

Solution: Eat a balanced diet! This helps to maintain blood sugar levels within the normal range and prevents loss of energy. For breakfast, switch from white to wholegrain toast & eggs instead of jam and foods with too much fat levels. Also, remember light snacks during the day for sustained energy. Some nuts can often serve as mental concentration & energy boosters.


4. Anemia

Anemia is one of the main causes of fatigue, especially for women. Loss of blood during menstruation can cause iron deficiency. Red blood cells are needed because they carry oxygen to tissues and organs.

Solution: For iron deficiency anemia, consume foods rich in its content (e.g. lean meat, beans, liver) and take food supplements.

5. Depression

Depression can be seen as an emotional disorder.

Solution:  If you feel tired for more than a few weeks, do not be shy about asking for help and see a doctor.

6. Hypothyroidism

Thyroid is a small gland in the back of your neck. It controls your metabolism, the speed at which your body converts fuel into energy. If the gland is inactive and the metabolism works too slowly you may feel slow and exhausted.

Solution: Have blood tests done. If low thyroid hormone production is confirmed, your doctor will suggest appropriate treatment.

7. Diabetes

People with diabetes remain abnormally high in the bloodstream instead of entering body cells where they turn into energy. The result is a body that is exhausted even though it has enough food. If you have persistent, unexplained fatigue, ask your doctor for diabetes testing.

Solution: Diabetes treatment can include lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise, insulin therapy, and medicines that help the body process sugar.

8. Dehydration 

Your fatigue may also be a sign of dehydration. Your body needs a lot of the best clean water to function optimally and maintain its pace.

Solution : Drink water throughout the day! Pay close attention to increased physical activity. At least an hour before you should drink two or more large glasses of water. The same applies during and after physical activity.
